1. Introduction

SettlementsAI ("SettlementsAI," "we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users and participating attorneys ("you") to do the same.

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512, SettlementsAI will respond promptly to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement on our website, SettlementsAI.com ("Site").

2. Policy Summary

If you believe that any content available on or through SettlementsAI.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and take appropriate action against the content submitter in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.

3. How to Submit a DMCA Notice

If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent, and you believe that content on SettlementsAI.com infringes your copyright, your written notice must include the following information (per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)):

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
  2. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and sufficient information for us to locate it on the Site (for example, a direct URL).
  3. Your contact information, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.

  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that content you uploaded or submitted was removed in error or as a result of a misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. §512(g).

Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it previously appeared.
  2. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or Los Angeles County, California, if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Once a valid counter-notification is received, we may forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order, we may restore the material after 10–14 business days.

6. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, SettlementsAI will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users or account holders who are determined to be repeat infringers.

7. Misrepresentation Warning

Please note that any person who knowingly makes false claims in a DMCA notice or counter-notification may be liable for damages (including costs and attorney's fees) under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
